I have listened to this podcast for about a year and have found it to be very encouraging and rooted in Christ and in living for Him. Sadly, the most recent episode, I was very shocked and saddened by the content. I do not believe it to be appropriate for a pastor to use profane language. The word tells us in Ephesians 4:29, ”Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.” So there is no excuse for using profane language even if it is used for joking, which God teaches us to not be crude as well. The call of the pastor is to lead the church to Christ not to affirm the teachings of the world. I’m saddened that the cussing and admitting to “wildly inappropriate” movies was affirmed on this podcast as well. God instructs us to “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
James 5:16
